Modern - Sustainability

Modernized by sustainability in production and sourcing from Jalisco, Mexico combined with unique packaging, having each bottle hand-dipped in the volcanic soil of our agave fields, and experimental expressions using rare wood finishing.

Sustainability

  • Currently, the distillery is 50% solar-powered with a goal of 90% by 2024

  • Our bottles are made from 100% recycled glass sourced in Jalisco

  • Case boxes made from 100% recycled paper sourced in Jalisco

  • All water is sourced from our water well on the farm naturally flowing from the volcano

  • We utilize organic composting - The Bagazo (leftover pulp after fermentation) is sent back to the most recently harvested agave field and is laid out evenly to dry. Once it begins to dry it is mixed into the surface of the soil, making the soil richer to grow the highest quality Blue Agave.

  • There is ZERO use of color additives to the product, all-natural from wood aging

  • There are ZERO use pesticides or fertilizers in the agave fields

Supporting The Local Community

  • Bottling elements are sourced from the local community in and around Tequila/Guadalajara (corks, glass, labels, boxes)

  • Over 40+ jobs created annually directly within the company full-time and seasonally for harvesting

  • The Orendain family is heavily involved in Tequila town, with Eduardo Orendain Sr. serving as the Mayor of the town in the 90s, as well as his grandfather in the 60s.
